Death Match II On July 20th At Blue!!!
If you missed the resophonic “Death Match” between Samuel James and Meantone on May 25th here at Blue, you missed an evening beyond musical description. Don’t fret (Meantone never does with that fretless guitar) because Death Match II is coming to Blue on Thursday, July 20th!!!

Seisún (session) is a tradition throughout Ireland, in the town Pubs, where musicians, who are often patrons, gather in a large circle and acoustically perform the traditional music of Ireland. Seisún takes place right here at Blue each and every Wednesday evening around 9:00 P.M. If you have not experienced it, come down to the Blue, have a Guinness and treat yourself!

Moses Atwood draws from a wide variety of musical influences. A classically trained guitarist who studied under notable teachers such as Dusan Bogdanovic and Apostolos Paraskevas, Moses has studied musical traditions from all over the world. With heavy influences from blues masters such as Mississippi John Hurt and Skip James, songwriting legends like Woody Guthrie and Townes Van Zandt, and contemporaries such as Tom Waits and Kelly Joe Phelps, Moses Atwood is a muscian who truly draws upon the roots of American music. The depth of Moses's musical influences combine with intricate guitar playing, soulful singing, and truly great songwriting to create a fresh new take on Americana. Moses was recently nominated for best new songwriter of the year by the Portland Phoenix. Together, Megan and Moses create a unique and unforgettable musical experience.
