Located at 650A Congress Street in the heart of Portland’s Arts District, Blue is Portland’s most intimate live music venue. We present an array of music such as Celtic, Middle Eastern, Blues, Old Time, Jazz, Folk, and more. In addition, we offer a selection of fine wines from around the world as well as Maine microbrews, other beers on tap, curious bottled beers, and a small but delicious menu featuring artisanal cheeses.
Former proprietor, Barry P. Martin, opened Blue on Friday, April 29, 2005. On Wednesday, September 15, 2010, Terez Fraser, who had been a part of Blue for few years prior, acquired Blue from Martin. In its 6 years, Blue has become known not only for its terrific food, wine, beer and music & art, but also for its warm, cozy atmosphere and the sense of community that is brought to life each night.
